Garage Design FAQs

Why are your fees less than I have been quoted by a local Architect?

We deliberately keep our overheads low, we don't employ a secretary or have a glass fronted office in a city centre. We pass these cost savings back to you in our prices. We also use the latest Cad (computer-aided-design) programs to produce our quality plans and to help save us time.

Do You fill out the Planning Permission and Building Regulations Application forms and submit the application to the Local Authority?

Yes, we do all the hard work - so you don't have too. We submit your applications to your Local Authority and act as agent until the Planning Permission and Building Regulation decisions arrive.

Do you charge for amendments to the plans if the Local Authority want our garage design changing?

No, we do not charge for this. We don't think its fair that you should be charged extra for something you don't have any control over. We will amend your plans free of charge.

What areas do you cover?

We will travel around 70 miles from Stevenage to design your garage. Please see the map below to check if we can offer you our services.

Can you design a Retrospective Planning Permission Application for my garage?

Yes, we can apply for Retrospective Planning Permission for your garage - this is where a garage has been built and it has been found that Planning Permission should have been sought. Often this is a simple oversight by the homeowner, due to the complicated rules concerning Planning Permission.

What will it cost in total for my plans and Local Authority Application Fees?

Do you charge different prices for a single garage compared to a double garage?

No, both are the same price, it takes just as long to visit the site and measure up, produce the plans and deal with the local council for a single garage as it does with a double garage.

How many sets of plans will I receive?

We provide you with four sets of plans and supply the Local Authority with as many sets as is required for the Planning Permission and Building Regulation Applications.
